Episode 159 w/Fontaine

06/26/2017. The "We've Had Just About Enough Of This" Show
Musical guests: Fontaine

What would you do if you suddenly found yourself with a whole night of the week to do whatever you wanted? MP, Tolin, and surprise guest Rachel Mare Jones answer that question and many more, and the boys dredge up some moldy local oldies for tonight's playlist. Flying in on their magic and marked carpet with songs about Plastic Tweezers and fishin' with Dean Ween are this week's musical guest Fontaine, who's drummer may have found a kindred spirit in MP. It's the end of a made up era on the Radio Hour.

Fontaine plays a quirky style of grown up funky prog. In a single one of their songs you'll hear influences from Yes, Zappa, the Dead, early Pink Floyd, psychedelia, and a host of other bands from the classic to the obscure. They take stellar musicianship and paint it with a coat of sly humor, add in some wicked guitar solos, slick bass lines and super-tight drums and you've got Fontaine. Their new album is available at all your favorite local music shoppes and the usual digital emporia. Click on their photo for all the details.
